Level 1 History
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr P. Tucker.
Students study the Northern Wars fought in NZ in the 1840’s, visiting battle sites and selecting and analysing sources from the time. Students then study the perspectives of a chosen group on a historical event (American civil rights, the Dawn Raids and Māori conscription in NZ), writing a report. This same study can then be used again to sit the external paper, answering in an essay.
