Level 1 Art - Multimedia
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Ms S. Carnachan.
Students in Level 1 Art Visual Art will explore different art-making processes and techniques ranging from observational drawing studies, painting, printmaking, clay sculpture and multimedia exploration.
Students will develop an understanding of how to develop a theme in art and use artist models to create their individual and inspired pieces of art.
Traditional and Contemporary art is researched and responded to as they develop towards their own artistic style.
Costs include an art kit of individual items, plus items that will be shared in the class in order to keep costs down. These shared items will be available over the year as required. All art created are take-home pieces to share with whanau.
Please note this course cannot be taken in conjunction with Level 1 Art Photography and Design (1ARTPD).
