Level 1 Social Studies / Media Studies Integrated

Students are exploring Social Issues through the Lens of Communication.  To give students the opportunity to research topical social issues and communicate their research findings in a media product - Film, documentary, public service announcement, advert, radio broadcast or podcast.  Any other format to be approved by teachers.

This course requires students to use extensive research and critical writing skills to communicate social issues and ideas in different media formats. Students will have to be willing to present final products to the class and be involved in the class evaluation of their products. You will be given two full days as filming days during this course.
