Level 3 Classical Studies
Course Description
Teacher in Charge:
At this level we will study specific aspects of the ancient Greek and Roman civilisations. We will start by investigating how theatrical comedy was created by Aristophanes and identify how this style of comedy has adapted across time. We will then study some of the Roman Empire’s most famous Architectural structures, including the Colosseum; investigating why they continue to exist to this day. We will investigate the messages projected from them, in order to understand the Emperors who benefited from their construction. Both topics are applied to an internal and an external standard.
