1SPAN

Level 1 Spanish

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Miss T. Clark.

This course uses online tools and a communicative approach to develop students’ ability to interact and deepen their understanding of the Spanish language and cultures.  Students narrate stories, plan journeys and parties, give directions and learn about Spain, creating online portfolios of spoken and written work for NCEA.  Senior Spanish language learners have the opportunity to attend a cultural day out,  which introduces students to Hispanic dance, art, plays or movies, and tapas. Students can gain extra credits by completing an additional internal assessment as detailed below.

Students need to be prepared to receive instruction in the target language.
