Level 2 Geography
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr M. Harrison.
This course explores a selection of natural and cultural case studies from around the world.
Students will study the natural processes that have formed and continue to shape the Tongariro volcanic environment. This includes a class trip to Tongariro National Park to undertake geographic research to investigate and verify what we have learnt about this environment. This complements the study of the cryosphere where students learn about all of the frozen environments that exist globally and the significance these places have to people. Students will then investigate the urban pattern of homicides in Chicago City and the factors that have contributed to this.
