Year 9 Digital Technology

This course runs for a single semester. Students will grow their computing skills by using tutorials, working in teams, and getting teacher feedback around, designing and creating their own digital technology products. 

In this course, students will be taught how to program, use CAD software and simple electronics kits also gain all the problem-solving skills that go along with those using  BBC micro: bit, Makecode, and Tinkercad tools to do this.

Basic computer science skills are also introduced such as how computers store data and user interface design will also be covered.
