Level 1 Mathematics

Course Description

Mathematics, covers all strands

This course is for students who have gained Numeracy US32406 in 2024 or will gain Numeracy at the first assessment in Term 2 2025.

In terms 1 and 2, students will undertake a study on the following mathematical strands - statistics, numbers, algebra, measurement, geometry and space. From this work, the Internal standards 91944 and 91945 will be assessed.

For term 3 students will focus on algebra and develop further numbers, measurement, geometry and space. This learning will lead to  91947 which is an external achievement standard assessed in November.

For students who do not have the Numeracy Co-requisite Standard US32406 they will be able to attempt this standard in term 2

In 2025 students can gain numeracy by either the Numeracy US32406 or by achieving both 91944 and 91945.
